Tips for Using the Darning Foot on a Janome Sewing Machine
Supplies Required:
- Janome Sewing Machine
- Darning Foot
- Fabric
- Sewing threads and bobbin
How to use the Darning Foot on a Janome:
- Lower your sewing machine’s feed dogs (if your machine does not have a feed dog lever, use a darning plate).
- Attach the Darning Foot to the presser bar with the top lever over the needle bar clamp.
- (Optional) Draw a pattern on the fabric for you to follow
- Holding your fabric tight with your thumbs and forefingers, stitch along the marked line at a medium pace.
- When finished, raise your feed dogs for normal sewing.
You are now ready to tackle create your own free motion patterns on your next project.
